Well enough, in gaming.

Just ended one MWIF email game with a win. Fighting another one to the end to be determined by victory points. And has just begun a new one where I control my favourite nation only.

Today is the day. Not yet used to it, and never really celebrated it. That is sad, really. Well, at least we have a day to celebrate Sweden now. It is a rather new thing. At least it feels new to me. With that said, I do not expect that there will be much celebration this year either.

Pretty good.

I am having a party this Thursday. I am having a build your own Taco/Taco Salad bar, some fruit such as watermelon, strawberries, canteloupe/muskmelon, and some assorted desserts. I plan on making ice tea and having some lemon slices there as well. Would you like pictures?

I am not saying it is a bad thing.

However, Sweden has been a nation a long time. So long that no one is sure when it was created. It has been lost in the mists of history, or perhaps in pre-history. And the event that gave 6th of June as our national day was 500 years ago (exactly). Yet, a national day for Sweden was created about 40 years ago, and it wasn't a holiday until 10-15 years ago. So it is more of a day of relaxation rather than celebratory.

Anyway. I will try to get into a more festive mood, and with that said I am going to do my laundry. :D

I understand. It is not like the USA with the Declaration of Independence from the United Kingdom, nor when some French people attacked a prison on the 14th of July, nor even the reunification of Germany after the Berlin Wall fell. The Germans do not really celebrate the day that the wall fell since that is the anniversary of something else and they do not celebrate that.

But, any reason for a party - even if is just that you want to have a party!

It is not good when the birds wake you up before 3:55 am. But that reminds me of this song.

Good morning folks!

Image

Its slightly chilly out, with a warm hint of a breeze, but my office is mildly warm.

The memories fade, time slips away, body doesn't feel the same, but love surpasses all.

Engine is firing, oil is burning, smoke is rising, but energized all the same.

Black turns to gray, gray turns to blue, blue is just another day.

Whiz bang, the shot rang out!
I never knew the storm!
Pit in stomach, uneasy feeling!
Up and at it, over the edge!
I'll never be the same!

Dink clang, ears rang!
Lee is bleeding out his ear!
No time to think, no time to cry!
Up and at it, over the edge!
Here we go again!

Smoke and thunder, lights flash!
Day or night, fear don't care!
Radio chatter, everyone scatter!
Up and at it, over the edge!
Its just another day!

Sand puffs, tracers reach!
Arching over, compression bursts!
Glad their are our own!
Up and at it, over the edge!
We'll never be the same!
