DB Viewer not displaying when clicking detections

Post by WMundstock »

Hi there.
When I click the device in the detections of a contact, it does not show the database viewer.

Steps:
1. Open the scenario, set timebase and play.
2. When the contacts show up, click any of the contacts.
3. Go to the detections and click any link in the contacts.

The DB viewer is not displayed. Did I get this wrong? Is this expected?

Attached the recording and the scenario.

I just noticed the same thing. I think it might be only a few specific sensors that are carried as loadouts. I noted it specifically on the same aircraft and the same loadout sensor. I also noted it in a CEC test scenario someone built in 1328 beta on an F-15E with a FLIR pod.

I noted none of the other sensor detect messages have the issue.

Yes, sensor in the loadout can't be addressed explicitly.

However, I have made it so if you click on the sensor, it will display the DB and highlight the appropriate loadout for now.

BTW, the BTR-80 in the attached has no signatures so that not being picked up by 'radar'.

Thanks for the response! I did not understand this part though.

Thank you! That explains it. I replaced with #169 as you said and it works now!

If you select the [FLIR] from the 2nd detection, it will bring up the DB showing the unit and it will highlight the loadout that contains that sensor.
That at least gives you the ability to click on the sensor in the loadout package, and clicking on the text will do something.
I have some ideas how it could go direct to the sensor but that might cause issues at the moment.

I think just going to the loadout is good enough. I player knows which sensor did the detection from the detection list. They can then just click on the sensor in the loadout if they want more detail.
