End date extension

I'm interested in buying the game but wondering if there's a mod or in game feature that I can use to edit the end game date?

When starting a game, you'll be presented with a menu of options before the game loads. If you click Advanced on this menu, another menu will appear, and there you can find an option to Disable the End Date:
