Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
Field Marshal Yamamoto, a revered strategist known for his tactical brilliance, stood at the smoldering remains of the blown bridge over the Pei River. His staff silently trailed behind him as he surveyed the scene, taking in the gravity of the situation. The destruction before them was a stark reminder of the challenges they faced.
Yamamoto's face wore a thoughtful expression as he examined the wreckage, the weight of responsibility evident in his eyes. The staff members, well aware of his reputation, observed his every move, waiting for his command.
With a calm yet resolute voice, Yamamoto addressed his staff. "This blown bridge is a setback, but it will not deter us from our mission. We will find a solution and press on."
His words hung in the air, stirring a sense of determination among the staff. They knew they were in the presence of a leader who refused to be defeated by adversity.
Yamamoto turned away from the ruined bridge and began to walk along the riverbank, his staff falling into step behind him. The silence was palpable, the sound of their footsteps blending with the distant rush of the river's waters.
As they walked, Yamamoto's keen eyes scrutinized their surroundings, searching for opportunities amidst the challenges. His mind raced with possibilities, considering the available resources and the skills of his engineers.
Suddenly, his gaze fixated on the distance. "Bring the fishing boats, from the village we passed 1 mil from here!" Yamamoto commanded, his voice filled with determination. "Cut masts, lay wood on the edges. We will use them to construct a new path across this river."
His staff sprang into action, mobilizing the engineers from Canton with haste and organizing the retrieval of the boats. Yamamoto closely supervised their efforts, his presence providing a sense of guidance and purpose.
The Chinese where in for a surprise!

WAR MAP
---
INT. WAR ROOM French command headquarter - DAY 1939 Nov/Dec
General GEORGES, a stern and authoritative figure in his late 50s, paces back and forth across the room, clutching a telephone receiver to his ear. The room is filled with large maps detailing the battlefronts of World War II. A servant stands nearby, attentive to the General's needs. While other staffmembers try to quickly move aways from the angry General.
GENERAL GEORGES
(voice filled with urgency, in French)
Maintenant!
Georges slams the receiver down, frustration etched on his face. Just as he begins to pace again, a female STAFF MEMBER, holding a weather report in her hand, approaches him cautiously.
STAFF MEMBER
(slightly hesitant)
The General glares at her, his frustration mounting.
GENERAL GEORGES
(angry, in French)
Des averses légères? Sacrebleu!
The Staff Member takes a step back, surprised by the General's outburst.
STAFF MEMBER
(apologetic)
General Georges clenches his fists, his anger momentarily consuming him.
GENERAL GEORGES
The Staff Member nods, understanding the General's determination, and rushes off to relay the instructions. General Georges takes a moment to compose himself before returning his attention to the maps, strategizing and adjusting his plans.
GENERAL GEORGES
(worried, muttering to himself)
He furrows his brow, his mind racing with concerns for the soldiers on the front lines. The weight of responsibility weighs heavily on his shoulders.
FADE OUT.

Rail movement:
Italy:
MIL (Leghorn) -> Metz
Germany:
MIL (Breslau) -> Copenhagen
Japan:
MIL Seoul->Changsha
MIL Mukden->74,143 (2 hexes north Kaifeng)
Land movement:
Italy:
TERR in Tunisia retreat back into Libya.
Supply depot continues to check out the Saharan desert.
Japan:
Minor movement by AG Terauchi.
Minor movement by AG Umezu.
AG Yamamoto advance towards the opening in the Chinese line in the area between Nanning and Kweilin.
The Fukuoka MIL advance into the Chinese rear.
1-4 INF DIV->Pakhoi
TER 2-3->Changchun
Germany:
INF Div in Copenhagen move back into Germany.
In Poland one corps retreat to Krakow.
The remaining forces in Poland shift their focus to the north side of Lodz in an attempt to close in on the city.
Lille is captured as the general advance continues.
Germany makes two land combats. First against the Paris MIL, and the second against the Lodz MIL.
The attack in France is automatic (60:5) even if French ground support is cleared, so I assume that none is added.
In Poland, the odds is 6:1 blitz, with 33% chance of making it automatic. Unless, of course, that the Polish HQ succeeds in lowering the odds. Will CW add HQ support in Poland?
