Attrition Summary (Campaign Info.) Loss Question

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Attrition Summary (Campaign Info.) Loss Question

Post by wesy »

Hello - newbie playing ED and had a question/sanity check regarding losses under the Attrition Summary table. - This is the first day of the campaign (as Germans) and I chose to do both a fight sweep and bombing mission on two primary fields separated by 30 minutes. Luftwaffe losses for the day and campaign = 15, however, there is a message in parenthesis to the right of the losses which states (to AA fire 0:11/0:11). Next to the RAF losses,10 for the day and the campaign; RAF losses (on ground 2:3/2:3). Should LW losses to AA fire be read as 0 for the day, and 11 for the Campaign (which doesn't make sense since this is the first day) and RAF losses on ground 2 for the Day and 3 for the Campaign (which doesn't make sense since this is the first day? Any suggestions on what this info is also repeated?

Thanks for any input!

Hi.
The first set of 0:11 is for the day and the second for the whole campaign. As this is your first day, both sets will read the same. If you were to play a second day with exactly the same results the the numbers would read 0:11/0:22 (day/campaign)
The number to the left is the total planes destroyed by AA fire, to the right of the : is the number damaged. It would seem that British AA fire only damaged Luftwaffe aircraft today and did not destroy any outright.
The numbers of RAF aircraft reads the same, destroyed/damaged. Play a couple more days and you will see the figures change.
Mark.
