Can I alter the default mission settings in scenarios and other setup questions?

Post by fatgreta1066 »

I particularly want to set it so that all missions are created NOT enforcing flight size, there are other tweaks I'd like to make as well.

Also, how do I change the information that is displayed where the cursor is on the map (I want to see less if possible).

Finally (for now) can I set the game so that when a scenario opens the items displayed on the map (View menu) are set in a specific way (i.e. placenames off)?

Thanks,

For changes to missions, open the scenario from 'scenario editor', from the main menu. Make the alterations, then save the scenario: either as the same, or 'save as' with a new name, for safety, possibly creating a custom folder for your tailored versions. You can play from within the editor, or open the fixed scenario using the 'start new game' button in the main menu. To switch sides, click 'Editor' in the top bar, then 'Switch to...'. Alt+S cycles sides sequentially.

I do not think it possible to reduce the information by the cursor, just have it at the bottom of the screen, or gone. Click 'game' in the upper left, then 'game options' at the bottom, then 'map settings tab' from the top of the box, then select 'show on bottom' or 'do not show'.

Finally, the game may remember your current map settings. If not, arrange what you want, tick the box 'use personal map profile' in the box described above, and click the button 'save current map profile as "personal'".
