SOSUS upgrades

I know a significant amount of money was budget over the last 10-15 years to replace the SOSUS bottom arrays. Are these listed in the CMO db? I couldn't find them. I noticed Japan, China, and Russia have modernized sensors in their bottom arrays, but the US still only lists SOSUS sensors from the 1970s.

That is a really good question, given recent current events. Google research on "Integrated Undersea Sensor System (IUSS)" produced some current information, indicating the system is being upgraded. The new IUSS combines SOSUS and T-AGOS mobile platforms. I cant find specifics of locations, however the facility (I just tested the US one) can be dropped in the ocean, and was able to find some very noisy Chinese subs. The T-AGOS was less effective, but the Bottom Fixed Array's seem to work like a champ.

What I plan on doing is just estimating which SLOC that the side would want to monitor, and drop a line of them at some reasonable distance. I have no direct knowledge, but I would assume that Guam, Okinawa, Taiwan, Japan, and others would have some sort of system deployed. GUIK gap, from Norway to Svalbard, and other likely spots in the Atlantic as well.

There is a related land facility - ACINT SOSUS Station - and If you wanted to get fancy, you could write LUA to place the SOSUS sensors out of communications if the Bunker was destroyed.

Edit: the SOSUS sensors are by default set to "autodetectable", which might cause some computer controlled units to go a bit wonky. That can be fixed with the editor.
