[FIXED][1328.4] YJ-21 strange trajectory and missing target

Post by Sanyr1310 »

After the upgrade on HGV trajectory. I found that when YJ-21 striking a moving ship, it just flew over the target and perform a sharp dive, which is almost impossible in reality, and miss the target.

1) Do you have the scenario log file with weapon end game events?
2) The scenario you attached is well past the event so its not very useful.
3) Do you have autosave turned on so we can get a save earlier in the sequence?
4) If not, can you provide a save before the missiles reach the ships?

Nevermind 4. I just fired another missile and saw the overshoot. Will pull the log from that.

edit: The log only states that the HGV overshoots the target. No weapon end game logic at all. Its consistent in that. The HGV also never stops. It keeps on going at 0 altitude and 6000 knots all the way around the world.

edit 2: Noted that the missile reaches apogee, leans over, starts to descend, releases the HGV, and then the HGV starts gaining 10-20km of altitude before starting to descend towards the target. Not sure if that's the expected or realistic behavior.

The overshooting might be an issue, but the sharp dive should be WAD. https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 1&t=396293 this is mentioned in the latest update log.

Not sure if you meant to quote me. I never addressed or mentioned the dive.

Fixed for the next update, but keep in mind the YJ-21 currently looks more likely to be an ASBM rather than HGV: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YJ-21 . Expect the DB stats to be altered to reflect this.
