The Battle of Puffendorf: 17-19 nov. 1944 12 turns

The Allied november offensive along the Roer plain, "Operation Queen", for General Bradley was the final offensive to break last German resistance and so ending the war.
But after days of incredibly stiff German resistance, high casualties and no breakthrough the Allied forces stopped withouth breaking the Roer line.
The Germans released the depleted but still strong 9.Panzer Division and 506.Tiger abteilung from the reserve to hold the Roer Valley.
In few days the veteran US 2nd Armored Division around Puffendorf advanced only 10 km and lost more than 1200 men and 80 tanks.

Got a Major Victory as Allies on Challenging difficulty. Fun scenario. Your real enemy is supply (or lack thereof) rather than sporadic German resistance. Tigers can be a nuisance but you can dispatch them. Perhaps the scenario was meant to be played as German Human?
