Multiplayer

Post by chaoticCaptain »

Hi,

Hoping someone can help me out. I've just bought this game to play with a friend using multiplayer, but we are having some issues setting it up.

I have looked to setup port forwarding using the ports TCP and UDP 2300-2400 and 6073, but it looks like I only have options for Port Triggering or Virtual Servers on my router. Virtual Server seems the closest to Port Forwarding, but I've tried both and we are still not being able to create a game.

Does anyone have any advice?

Both computers have allowed the game through the firewall.

Thanks!

Hi chaoticCaptain -- If you can set up a way for your router to forward incoming DirectPlay connections to your specific machine then it should work, whatever name your router uses for the mechanism.

Note that for DirectPlay to work properly both the host and joiner may need to set up port forwarding.
