Checking In

Post by Blackhorse »

It has been just over 2 years since I last poked my nose into the WitP-AE forums... and sixteen (?!) (can that be right?) years since I was first drafted - er, volunteered - to help with the original AE design.

I continue to be awed by the strength of the community and your ability to play, and continuously improve what by rights ought to be an unplayable monster.

At a quick glance, I'm glad to see that there is another update on the way; that AndyMac has continued cranking out excellent scenarios... and that folks are still debating the gameyness of the Mersing Gambit.

Oddball: Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Thanks for your work on this game. While not a mass appeal title, It has stood the test of time better than 99.9% of other games with new players still joining, learning, and enjoying this beast. It must be quite amazing to anyone who worked on the title that the game is still much loved so many years later.

Join the new beta team? Share the glory after they've done all the work, that... does have a certain appeal :D

Why'd I leave? Work-time commitments, natch.

I will be checking out the discord... first, I need to get discord.

Welcome back my friend.

ALLONS!
Thank you, Ranger... Scouts Out!

Nice pic, btw. Captures my time on the border. I was there for the last years of the old army greens (as pictured), and the first years of the new BDUs.
