Message panel not displaying text

hello,

I'm attempting to use the Ultimate Enhancement mod for TEAW, however my message panel is not displaying message text, i am able to click the messages, but for 99% of messages i'm unable to see, but i am being made aware of them.

Any fix for the message panel?

EDIT:

After some investigation, the mod is launching the game as EAW Gold. Not EAW 1.03.1 ( or 1.04 with unofficial patch), i believe this may be causing problems, not sure how, but it's a lead.

Any way to change this?
