[QUERY DEV/ANY] [ANSWERED] Mast/Sensor Height

Post by FifthDomain »

Good Afternoon

Steam Build 1328.8

How do i use the new Per-Sensor mast height feature and the existing ability to specify mast for platform/unit. As per 64 bit release notes.

Thanks for your time.

Hi FifthDomain,

Mast height it is a property of the unit itself and can not be define/modified by the user in the civ version.

You can see the values of each of the units in the DB.

When you add a sensor to an unit, in Dimitris' own words:

From v499+, there is now the option for per-sensor mast height. If this is present the sensor uses this value; otherwise it uses the unit's overall mast-height value as before.

You use this transparently, IF the platform has explicit per-sensor value set (most platforms do not ATM).

If there is a specific platform that you are interested in, and it doesn't have custom values ATM, I would suggest asking for it to be populated with proper per-sensor values: https://github.com/PygmalionOfCyprus/cmo-db-requests
