Manual & Supply

Post by scout1 »

Nearly all games of this sort have three basic tenets ......
- Movement
- Combat
- Supply

I'm still in the early learning stages of this fine game but can't find anything in the manual (at least guided by the Manual TOC) relative to Supply ..... What am I missing ???????

See 9.1.7 for ingame.
See 18.11 for editor.

Also, search for "supply".

Thanks .....

Just beginning to get my arms around the supply topic .... as usual .... got questions ....

- Several of the rules discuss bonus/debits based on a # of hexes .... shouldn't this be distance instead ? scenarios vary on scale per hex
- scale from 5km to 25km per hex ... or is this an issue as to programming ? or don't I understand it yet (likely) ?

- the other item I read was "cooperative" HQ's ... Does this imply HQ chain of command of the unit in question ?
- Does an equivalent level of HQ (Div to Div) work the same even if not in the chain of command ?
- What about a higher level HQ within the same chain of command (Corp level) ...?

Still learning, just trying to understand the constraints ......

The designer sets the "Supply Radius". If done right, the value he sets it to is proportionate to the hexscale.

For example, I did the Kaiserschlacht 1918 scenario at 2.5 km/hex and again at 5km/hex. The Supply Radius was 4 for the former and 2 for the latter.

There is no chain of command. There is only cooperation. See 8.6.1 and 18.9.2 for how cooperation works.
