I am sorry

Post by MagicMissile »

Hello,

I just wanted to apologize to the 4 players whose games I abandoned. There are no excuses really but real life with work and a toddler that got online so not a moment of peace. When night came I was so tired so I said to myself I will do my turns tomorrow but tomorrow turned into weeks and then I kind of forgot about it and then the games ended.

I am very sorry for wasting everyones time I feel really bad about it and it wont happen again.

I will not play anymore Warplan. I will help out with the beta of the new game as much as I can.
Thanks to everyone I have played with over the years it has been great fun!

Kind regards

i abandoned the greatest game of WP i ever played

my home situation got very bad, and i essentially didn't really have cpu access, and if i did, i was looking to get out of there, not sit down and enjoy myself

the real irritating things is, i believe i abandoned the game on maybe the most pivotal and entertaining turn i've ever played!

isnt' that always the way though

no idea how you could play 4 games, even in the best of circumstances. you are a better man than i

in any case, we all get overwhelmed. toddlers should be number one, anyway

I am so glad I am past the toddler phase.... All I have to deal with is a 16 year old.

I can't say that is any better.
You can control a toddler...A 16 year old girl...well you might as well have a rabit wombat in your house.

I can deal with teenager stuff much better than toddler stuff. I brainwashed my son on cigarettes, booz, drugs and food from birth. He is adamant on staying healthy.

I am in the same situation. Apologies to my opponents. Real life is back with a vengeance.

You Sveint was 1 of the 4. Very sad we had two nice games going but I am pretty sure you would have won as the Axis at least. Your Barbarossa is horribly hard to deal with :). Not sure about my axis build 16 subs strategy would have worked out but maybe.

@Boldaire I usually play 4 games at least at the same time I like mirror games where one plays both sides at the same time. I had a fair amount of time before my now 16 month old daughter started to walk now there is not a moment of rest but she is very cute though :) . I am not looking forward to the teenage years, of course culture is a bit different here in Thailand so it might not be quite as bad as a western teenager we will see.

But I am not going to lie my WP itch is back and I also would like to play the Pacific more then I have done. What to do what to do :).

MM - I have been in those shoes...

You just have to play less...

Keeps the itch and be sure you opponent knows your time issues. You may not get a turn in for a few days which can happen with real life for sure.

For example, right now I am playing 1 WPP and 1 WPE...

Yes I would love a few more but 1 of each is not bad...though I keep missing up how things works. I think OH I will go blockade all of Africa from the Italians with my massive navy...wait that does not work. Nevermind.
Or in WPP that happens and I am wondering how? Then...oh ya...

You are very wise Stjeand and I might heed your advise :). I tend to become a bit fanatical when I find something I like and I also had fair amount of time to dedicate to gaming before but a child changes your life thats for sure. If anyone would like to play a game even a mirror one at a moderate speed let me know :).
