Problems with new update

Post by farflamex »

I recently got a new PC, so I reinstalled the game on this PC and simply copied and pasted the old save file over here. While installing, I noticed the new update so I installed that too. It seems fine but I've noticed that I can't access Abaddan (think I spelt that wrong). I have a few fleets there and I can't move them now. Also, I can't access Suez or anything there.

I still have it all as it was on the old PC. Should I reinstall and just not use the new update with my old save?

The new map data in the beta isn't matching the map data in your old saves. A lot of geographical locations were added or moved. You would probably have to install whatever version of WITP that you had on your old PC to properly open your old game saves.

You should be able to use the new .exe but not with the new map information.

Ok cool, I'll just reinstall with the same setup as before. Thanks.
