[Q] Multiple radar entries for the same unit?!

Hey guys,

I want to ask the more experienced players, why there are multiple entries for the exactly same radar and why are individually selectable? Does it have to do with the band it operates on and if yes why is not specified in the description?

The second question would be why there are not all radars activated when thick the box Radars to turn them all? Is that a bug or is intended like this?
And the most important question, if I manually disable EMCOM and activate radars, why do they automatically turn off after a while? is there a settings to change that? I dont want EMCOM to reactivate by itself, unless I want so.

These radars have different coverage, if you select one of them you can see the range in which they act, that is why in this case there are 4 to give a coverage of 360 degrees.

Radars that do not turn on with the checkbox are usually Fire-Control radars (FCR). These radars can sometimes also be used as early warnings, but their main function is to "illuminate" the target so that the missile can be directed towards it. This is done automatically in the game.

Regarding what you say, about the radars are turned off after a while, could you pass a .save (zip it to upload it to the forum)

So if I understand correct, even if the illuminating radars box is unchecked, they are still working and automatically illuminate target?
This is a little confusing for a new player.

Sorry for not explaining myself more clearly. What is usually automatic (depending on doctrine and unit) is for the unit to turn on its guidance radar, when it does so, the radar is shown ON in the checkbox
