Question about recon&intel

Post by voroshilov17 »

Helo!
I have been reading the manual (page 53. Index number 9.1.5) and I have a pair of doubts about this topic.
1-According to recon asstes, units are literally your counters. Theatre recon represents everything from spies to recon aircraft.. But what and how is represented internal security? According to the manual, "internal security gathers information of your rear areas". But where are those internal security? It is also said in the manual that internal security benefits from visibility at the top of "escaprments" and "mountain peakes", but I don't get it how does it, because internal security are not counters, right?
2-When it says that hexes with "mountains peak" and "escarpments" benefits from visibility conditions...only affects to hexes with those 2 types of hexes? or it also benefits for "mountains hexes", "alpine hexes" and "hills"?

Thanks in advance!

Internal security just represents the non-front-line stuff in the rear that can be thought of as everywhere in the rear. So...hexes that you "own" are always at least observed or spotted. If the enemy enters (converts) any such hexes they will be at least observed. If they do so in range of a peak hex or adjacent to an escarpment they are more likely to be spotted instead of just observed.

Just those two specific cases. Note that this keeps it entirely under the control of the designer as he can put a peak or escarpment anywhere he desires.
