Mini Mod

I have made a Mini Mod that does a few things,

(1)changes Movement UI
(2)changes background maps colour
(3)changes a few sounds
(4)only in draft form at moment ,infantry unit pictures tweaked with nato symbols.
(5)Made some transparent Bases/Counters for the AFVs in game.
(6)Modify Unit Values in Base Game.
The first 3 elements are coming along nicely. And a download is available.
The 4th element is not yet finished.
5th element has a download linked below.
6th element has a download below and is still a WIP.

Made some transparent Bases/Counters for the AFVs in game.
I like the Board Game look and colour of the originals but this is something a bit different and puts more of a visual emphasis on the normal Infantry Counters in contrast.

Just put them in
assets/counters/afvs

They only change the onscreen look, they don't change any attributes of the tanks in any way.

I have had an experiment in changing the Core Game unit statistics.

This is a summary of my thoughts so far ,my own notes ,they are not properly formatted in any way.

I DID THIS ,check it in game ,basically need 8 or less to hit ,then 7 or less to destroy a light target like a half track
Basically Medium Machine Guns on a Tripod can now attempt to destroy AFVs ,good chance against a HalfTrack.
I DID THIS

squad carrying a Heavy (H) support weapon
reduces its Movement Points by one (–1)
mortar
<type value="H"/>
maybe change to <type value="L"/>
did this for 50mm mortars ,brit and ger ,left HEAVY for 60mm Amer Mortar-it has 12 range rather than 6
Basically Light Mortar Crews move at normal speed now.
Easier/Quicker to deploy them and more fun ,at least for me ,I like the Mortars.

another idea
make light anti tank artillery move 2 squares rather than just 1,
this is based on my experience with Call to Arms OSTFRONT ,where man handled guns are a really fun gameplay element,
BRIT 2pdr ,maybe next size?
GERM pak 38 ,maybe next size?
AMER both 37mm and 57mm (both american guns seem light)
MAYBE 3 speeds ,3 ,2 ,1?
ELSE 2 speeds 2, 1
note heavy guns like GERMAN 88 have no movement ,i think this is reasonable ,both big and powerfull

an idea,
maybe make halftracks armor B ,trucks armor A (note AMER halftrack default is A,GERM default is A/B
and make LMGS antitank attack A
if so make MMGs,AT RIFLE and any other A weapons to B
other than that drop a letter from all TANK GUNS ,MIN B though.
this will make tanks a bit more survivable but still give INFANTRY a chance.

another idea
TANK infantry cannon fire ,APFP ,anti personal fire power ,is added to vehicular mg fire if within 8 hexes,
however if APFP is 11 or higher ,even M4shaerman has 12 ,then the 3rd line in infantry fire table is used ,this is too much,
have maximum of 10 here ,better ,then at closer range 2 mgs are added and still get to maybe 10+4+3=17 anyway

So the few changes I have made do change the game a lot.
I will give a download link here.
The only file I have changed so far is for Support Weapons.
IMPORTANT back up original file called "weapons.xml" first ion order to revert the change.
Basically put the file in (for Steam)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Valor and Victory\assets\counters\supportweapons
