Fleet ordered to attack enemy fleet does not adjust when enemy fleet comes back in system

Platform: Steam
Build version: v1.1.7.2 Beta (started with 1.1.6.5 or 1.1.7.1 (Beta)
Severity: Medium

I had given 2nd Fleet the order to attack the Mortalen Sovereignty 4th Invasion Fleet, which was located at Tenalles 7 when I did. 2nd Fleet was at Crered, the Mortalens capital, and still is. Both planets are in the Tenalles system.

When you open the save, the 4th Invasion Fleet just finished jumping back to Crered, where 2nd Fleet was still in the process of jumping to Tenalles 7.

But since the order was to attack 4th Invasion Fleet (not to jump to Tenalles 7), now that the 4th Invasion Fleet is back at the same location as 2nd Fleet is, it should stop the jump sequence and start moving toward 4th Fleet (at least, that’s what I would expect: after all, the arrival of a fleet at the location is an event that shouldn’t go unnoticed, and 2nd Fleet should adjust consequently).

But no: 2nd Fleet continue the jump sequence and jumps to Tenalles 7, even though its target is now at Crered, where 2nd Fleet was just before the jump. Here’s the situation after 2nd Fleet’s jump:

It seems to me that a fleet, even if controlled manually, should be able to “react” to a situation like this one. After all, it has sensors on-board, and the jump sequence CAN be stopped (I could have stopped it manually, but I wanted to see what would happen if I didn't).
