I'm only about 10 minutes in, but already having some performance issues. That is a LOT of traffic. Aside from that, it seems promising.

The UAV launch truck is detected at scenario start. It might also be worth saying whether or not overflight of Yemen is permitted?

Also, the weather is clear skies with rain

Thanks for trying the scenario and the feedback, DeHav!

Traffic is heavy, but I suspect it is also the number of sides and the gunfire in the scenario that is causing the slowness. I did not experience much slowness in my playtesting though.

I have also fixed the auto detection for the UAV launcher.

Global warming and weird weather phenomena has come to CMOland.

Also fixed in V1.1 :D

I've had a punt at this one, a really good scenario that showcases the LCS's strengths and its weaknesses. Unfortunately, I ended with a disaster. At basically the same instant the Houthis bombed me, the Iranians decided that my Little Crappy Ship had gone too far (I'd successfully completed the junk capture and was on my way back to the Bab al Mandeb to do the minesweeping) and filled me with C-802s. Honestly I don't think I acquitted myself terribly in that action, the Iranians shot first, I shot down their entire first salvo and sank at least one of their ships, then I died to the second salvo. Regardless, it ran fine, the events more or less worked (I wasn't quite clear how close to get to the Iranians so it took a while to get the event telling me I was close enough) and the scenario was challenging without feeling unfair. I lost the USV while my LCS was still so far away that the Knighthawk couldn't have gotten to it, but those are just the breaks when you randomly generate opposition.

Overall, cracking work. I'll have another go at it some other time and try to pull out a win.

Hi FrangibleCover,

Thanks for your comments!

You have no idea how many position changes and test replays I did for the Iran flotilla, the Saildrone and the LCS so as to give a fair chance to the LCS to rescue the Saildrone.

You'd need to go flank speed to get a chance to have the Knighthawk in range. LCS crazy speed isn't needed in most cases, but it matters here 8-)

Trick is, you need to go at flank speed towards the Iranians before they capture the saildrone and possibly before you even identify where they are. That's something I was reluctant to do, given that there's no urgency implied in the orders. Once they capture it, it's not doable to save it if you didn't know it was coming. There's also the significant possibility of the player using the Knighthawk for its Hellfires and APKWS, which means it will be out of position and fuel come the time to do the mission. Personally, the first time I ran the scenario it was the first thing I launched before I realised it's not a Seahawk and doesn't have a radar!
