1.21u Blueprint indicates lower hard attack with machineguns than without

I checked and the design log doesn't mention different design rolls. The same happened when designing aircrafts.

I'm still reporting as I find issues as it's easier to manage but obviously it's not urgent issues.

Its because the airplane uses a combination of MG and rocket attack on ground targets.

There are no design rolls for Blueprints.

Adding a machinegun to an aircraft that has bombs not only deducts from the hard attack, the worse the machinegun is, the less hard attack is deducted. That makes no logical sense at all. There is definitely some kind of bug or design flaw here.

EDIT: The effect is visible in the blueprint when using air-to-ground weapons other than the few smallest bomb hatches.

The average of the different weapons is weighted for their overall strength.

This current state of double weapons on aircraft could be improved upon, agreed. Its just not on the short-term list. And there is some argument to be made that in the heat of battle both weapons will be used in practice when attacking ground targets.
