TOAW 4 no longer works. Play Game button no longer opens game to play on Windows 10,x

The sequel of the legendary wargame with a complete graphics and interface overhaul, major new gameplay and design features such as full naval combat modelling, improved supply handling, numerous increases to scenario parameters to better support large scenarios, and integrated PBEM++.

TOAW 4 no longer works. Play Game button no longer opens game to play on Windows 10,x

Hello my TOAW IV no longer works when I go to the Play Game button it just sits and spins a wheel for an hour or more, only way out is to use Task manager to exit. Is there a fix for this issue on Windows 10.x

I have Windows 10,x and TOAW IV works fine on my machine.

Maybe you need to do a fresh install of the base game and then install the latest patch.

I'm running Win11 and TOAW runs just fine. Yeah, as above advice, I'd suggest you try uninstalling it and reinstalling it and then patching it. Please keep us in your loop. I'd like to know what fixes it.
