Division target order

Rule the Waves III is a simulation of naval ship design and construction, fleet management and naval warfare from 1890 to 1970. and will place you in the role of 'Grand Admiral' of a navy from the time when steam and iron dominated warship design up to the missile age.

Division target order

I try giving division target orders, but my guys just ignore them in order to pound the dickens out of crippled enemy ships. Am I doing something wrong or does this have to do with the oft-mentioned AI preference for slaughtering defenseless cripples versus going after still-mobile enemy ships.

I have given the order shown in the image, by clicking on "OK" after selecting the intended target formation, but the division keeps shooting at the dead in the water/on fire enemy BC to the south, as you see. Am I doing something wrong?

I agree with your observations. Target orders are de-facto useless.
