Anyway you can install both versions on the same computer?

I rather have the old version cause of the graphics and unit icons but I would like to play the new one too since its being updated. Any way around installing both on different hard drives? It still detects the old version when its on a different hard drive.

Yes, copy the original install into a new folder and rename the folder. You can create short cuts to the EXE's onto your desktop, after you'd probably want to rename them so you know what they are. CSME 2.0 CSME MAP 2.0 etc.

Then update the original install to the latest version.

I changed the name and file name of the exe file to a different name. I added a 1 at the end of it. Still says it detects a different version when I try to install the game with the new version.

or is it the new version detects the old one and the old version doesnt detect the new one?

You need to copy the whole folder to a new location, changing the EXE won't do what you need.

There are HUGE differences between the installs of 2.00 and 2.30
