Re: Unfortunate Son's counters
Will it be possible to use these counters instead of the stock game's graphical sprites (instead of replacing the counters)? I'm afraid I still generally prefer NATO counters for clarity (I use the wonderful ones SPIRES made: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 3&t=321032), but would be nice to be able to easily switch back and forth between those and Unfortunate Son's (very well done) graphical counters.

Re: Unfortunate Son's counters
OxfordGuy3... Yes that is the goal. When I have a complete set you will be able to switch from the vanilla nato counters to my counters. The counters I am creating are a hybrid between nato & sprites. I am aware of Sipres counters. His counters inspired me to make my own counters. I just completed the Polish counters and will display them in the next day or so. All I have left is the US counters and I will have a complete set for SC-WIE. I have already started the US counters. Then I will work on the Chinese and Japanese counters for Sc-WAW.OxfordGuy3 wrote: Sat Apr 01, 2023 1:29 pm Will it be possible to use these counters instead of the stock game's graphical sprites (instead of replacing the counters)? Thanks for the complement regarding my counters.

Hi!
What is your next move with counters? You did massive work with major powers, but there are minors left...I guess you need to do Norwegians, Hungarians, Romanians, Finns, Greeks, Yugoslavians... It's still a lot of work, but you may use some of yours previous designs, and just change colors, especially for artillery pieces and some tanks and aircraft. From all above mentioned nations, which ofc, infantry might be design with some particularity(maybe caps instead for helmets for Finns and Norwegians?), there are not much "original" equipment. I guess Hungarians first level tanks was their original production, but later they switched to German tanks and aircraft. Romania also in this way...so I guess It won't be that hard, as I said, mostly infantry units require some slight individualization.
What are your plans? Give us some hint please!

PS
I forgot, the Americans are not done yet. Anyway, we are all patient and awaiting

Yes mentioning minors, the Aussies wore slouch hats. Great job and a bit of a never-ending task.
Re: Unfortunate Son's counters
Hi,
Unfortunate Son, you might consider changing the polish red-white "chesboard" as a national symbol. It looks cool, but actually it is a symbol of Polish Air Force, not Armed Forces. Armed forces symbol is a silver-white eagle with crown. I made my own for Polish-Soviet MOD and it looks like this:

Hi Jazon, I can change it. Can you PM your file and I will see if I can use it or at least take what I need regarding the Eagle.Jazon wrote: Sat May 20, 2023 10:28 am Hi,

These counters are stunning. Maybe I missed it, but I looked through every post of this thread. Is there already a download to play with this great work?

Thanks for your interest bssybeep!!!
They will be very shortly. I am in the final stages of putting them together and making final tweaks.
Not sure how long it will take for the developer/ Matrix to work their magic.
