Noobie with DUH question...

Post by ncarson »

Does putting more than one component such as Assault pod result in doubling (2X) assault strength or does it become redundant (only one is used, the other is "back up")?

Also, does an assault pod in a frigate carry the same assault capacity say, as one in a destroyer or cruiser?

Finally, what IS the best hull to put an assault pad in?

Finally, can you build a ship with assault pod and have it automatically upgraded or is the only way to preserve your design is to set it to "manual" ?

I mean the assault pod strenght is shown in the left bottom corner ui. Assault pods stack. I think assault pods are best on fastest ships. Shields down and because of shields regenerate enter them as fast as possible.

It is not clear cut if it is better to have the assault pods in smaller or larger ships. Smaller ships might be faster but if you have more assault pods it is easier to concentrate the assault power to make sure you succeed with taking over an enemy ship.

If you want to preserve designs you will need to manually design and upgrade them, the AI will change the designs if on full automation.

Each assault pod component has a specific assault value, what ship hull you put the component on does not matter.
