Locations Percent Disabled

Post by Desertmole »

I am modding a scenario and am a bit fuzzy on how the percent disabled setting works on the locations panel. For example, the Batavia Base Force is 35% disabled at the beginning of the scenario. How long does it take for the percentage disabled to be reduced? I assume I must keep the base at 2x required supplies, but then what? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Surprisingly, or maybe not, the manual doesn't mention how long it takes for disabled elements to repair. It does talk about units recovering disruption which is basically one a day for each element but there is a random factor involved.

As to the percentage setting, how long's a piece of string. 10% of a division inf strength is much larger than a BF infantry strength.

From experience units can recover diabled elements at a rate of one day for each element type. Other factor play, size of element (load cost), resting, leaderships, not attacked, supply and probably others but none prevent it happening, just slowing it down. Fatigue is the real killer, avoid high levels and all is well on the recovery front.

How much support the unit has is a large factor in this. Only in bases will units share support so that is the best place for the HQs and the units with excess support.
