Return of Soviet motorized divisions

Post by carlhebert »

I am playing the "no early end" campaign game in WITE2. The turn is January 16, 1944. I am playing the Soviets. I just received as reinforcements this turn two Soviet motorized divisions with the 1941TOE. Was this intended? I don't mind the gift of two motorized infantry divisions, but it does seem odd, especially with a TOE out of date three years. Are these elderly reservists with antique weapons? I am using the latest patch. I have attached a screenshot from the Reserve Theater Box and another showing the TOE for one of the units. Thanks, Marshal Carl

In GC41 both of these should have started the game in Far East TB although they are not TB-locked. There's also no scheduled transfer (at least in current version). Have you transferred them to Reserve?

About four turns ago, I did transfer some divisions from the Far East Box. I wasn't paying close attention to the kind of infantry divisions I selected. I think you may have the explanation. Now that they are on the map, will their TOEs change or remain static? Thanks for the answer.

No OB upgrades available nor renames/reforms to standard current Rifle divs.
Either disband for trucks or, if they are pretty experienced, just use them on the front.
