CMO Update - Build 1328.12

Post by Dimitris »

Download: http://warfaresims.slitherine.com/Command_B1328.12.7z

How to use: Unzip to CMO installation folder, answering "yes" to any overwrite prompts.

NOTES:
1) This is a "hotfix" release meant primarily to address the startup crash issue that emerged in B1328.11 . We are "soft-releasing" it here prior to official distribution in order to get it to those affected by the issue ASAP. If B1328.11 is working fine for you then feel free to wait for the official release.
2) The exe is "unsigned" and thus it is likely to trigger a lot of false-positive AV alerts. If you are uncomfortable with this then wait for the official release.

CMO Build 1328.12 Release Notes (changes from B1328.11)
==========================================================

* TWEAK: Updated built-in callsigns list

* FIXED: #15386: [B1328.11] Aircraft selected not transfer to Target list on air strike mission

I can't get it to download. I have tried multiple ways to open the link. Assume its an AV thing so will wait for official release. Interestingly, nothing shows up in my Windows Defender log.

Try right-clicking on the link? Direct left-click doesn't seem to work for me (on Chromium at least) for some reason.

I had this problem too, on Chrome. Try downloading on Edge instead - that worked for me.

In chrome works with right click, save link as. It will still ask you if you want to keep the file, if yes, everything is OK.

Edge worked for me, chrome really didn't want to download it even with right click save.

I can confirm that build 1328.12 (and 1328.11a) is now making me launch CMO normally. However, I'll try to investigate my issue further with 1328.11 if I have the time on the weekend.

It has improved my QOL, especially against the Open Topo layer background. Thank you.

Thank you for all the hard work Sisyphus! I mean Pygmalion ;) As far as I can perceive, this is a one-man army job, and if it's not the team doesn't get enough credits :)
Big shoutout there.

Does this mean that when I update to 1328.12 on Steam I automatically get the latest images and descriptions and I don't need to download them from the forum and manually replace?

The pictures and images are nopt connected to the db version. The big pics and desc. files have to loaded manually. But it also means if you downloaded the last update, you already have the latest pics. And as always, if set properly, CMO will download individual images as needed when you play.

Just got back from holiday. I downlaoded the 1328.12 file and unzipped it but when I go to launch the .exe file it opens in the background for a few seconds then stops.

Any recommendations?

Did you extract it in the game folder?

Figured it out. I eventually had to manually move the unzipped files to the CMO folder. Auto extracting was giving me issues.

Have been away

My last build was 1307.18. I assume can just copy over that one with this or have I missed something?

thanks

No, you should apply this comprehensive patch first.

https://ftp.matrixgames.com/pub/Command ... 328.11.zip

This is a 64 bits and DirectX 11 patch, you need Windows 10 64-bits to run the updated game now. Also a dedicated GPU is advisable.

After this patch, you may extract the one posted by Dimitris, that includes the exe and the new versions of the databases.

In the whatsnew.pdf you have missed:

1.05.1307.19
1.06.1328.7 to 1.06.1328.11

And this one 1.06.1328.12 that is still beta.
