Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
Am I doing the Allied oil usage?

Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
You can. I had to run out so just wanted to get the file to you. Reorganize all for everyone. Save all the oil in USSR possible into Baku and Astrakan. Any oil that can be saved in the interior please do so but I'm pretty sure the rail line has been cut for most of it. Just do the best you can, not critical. Go ahead and do Axis builds if you can and then send me the Allied builds, busy today but will get to it when I can.

Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
The Russians lost 69 land units the last three turns, costing over 170 build points. It will take a very long time before those get replaced. How many blue factories have the Russians lost? I know they have lost blue factories at Tula, Saratov, and Stalingrad, but don't know about many others. Moscow?
We haven't seen Allied builds for a while.

I thought I knew how to play this game....
Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
Tula, Saratov, and Stalingrad you mentioned. The other blue factories captured are Moscow (1), and Kiev. Blue factories in Dnepropetrovsk, and Leningrad, are not able to be railed at the moment so Germany have a chance at getting them as well.
The only factories close to the front that remains to be railed is Gorki, and Krasnodar.
8 factories has been railed so far.

Stuff the border strategy is a high risk and high reward option. In this game the USSR have suffered from it.

Axis Reinforcements sent. No change in lending. If Allies win initiative, the Allies will move first but no reroll
Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
I made an error in the Japanese RTB. About half of the ships going to Truk should have been going to Tokyo instead. Can we change it to the right bases for Japan?
If so, do you prefer that we go back and redo, or have it edited?
(Noticed it when the carriers receiving its air component was missing. Was slightly shocked when so many Japanese ships gone missing.

Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
It probably wasn't your mistake, but mine. There was a glitch in the game and somehow it skipped over the Commonwealth RTB and left units in their original boxes! I went back and spent several hours piecing together things as best I could. At this point, just let me know what needs editing and I will edit them in the right place once you've rolled initiative. If you win the initiative, just send me the file and I will edit and send it back.

I see, you will need the file changed to place your reinforcements. Let me know which carriers need to be in Tokyo and I will edit my save and send it back to you.

Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
See if the save I just sent works for you. There are still some cruisers at Truk that should not be there but I don't think that is very significant. What do you think?
Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
I've been under the weather for a while, and still a far way to go to be recovered. But I felt good enough to take a look at the latest save.
Alas, it seems to have some error that makes me thin it is unwise to use it in any way. See next post.

Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
The Japanese forces in Truk are OOS even though they clearly has a supply link (note that they were in supply in the previous reinforcement save (that this save replaced)).
And there is a phantom Japanese ship in the Central Pacific.

Not sure on how to proceed.
What was it that caused the need for editing in the first place? Was there a bug in Allied return to base?

Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
If you post how you want your reinforcements placed, I believe I can take the file all the way through. If not, we will need to go back and to stay at sea.
Re: A Blazing World (4-player game)
Greenland is a common place for units due to hex number 0,0. However, using Japanese carriers there to help Germany predict the weather seems like a poor use of the Japanese ships.
