Patrol mission behavior by mission type

Patrol mission behavior by mission type

This is quick (30 min) test result for patrol mission + unassigned behavior I was not sure for many years. Correct if I was wrong.

"Investigate" means mission unit will automatically move to intercept the target.
"Auto attack" means misson unit will automatically attack the target in range.

Note that aircraft and submarine in range are always potential to auto attacked.

This seems to be incorrect. SEAD mission is variation of ASuW (Ground) mission which only attack Radar, SAM, AAA. Radar emission will not considered.

EDIT: Oh, I tested them with auto-detectable, and almost forgot such facilities tend be detected with ESM.

for the unassigned the surface and facility, they will auto attack the hostile targets in range.
