Wake detection of subs

I have seen claims that the AAS on the P-8A will detect the wake of submerged subs. I know some of this tech vision has been there to do this sub to sub, but supposedly the computing power and radar resolution is now to the point that its a key part of the airborne ASW toolkit. Its also one of the reasons MAD was eliminated from the P-8A.

Is this realistic? Is it a capability of the CMO AAS-equipped P-8s?

We've added them to the DB but haven't enabled the relevant logics in-sim.

That AAS capability sounds interesting. Is there a source for it?

Nothing in these articles is definitive. In fact, there is a little bit of circular sourcing going on. But The US has invested a lot in the capability and at a minimum, detection is possible under the right conditions. The question is going to be under what conditions.
