how is multiplayer and question about helicopters

Does the game have a PBEM++ system for multiplayer? Is it easy to find opponents for multiplayer? I am considering buying it, but since my primary goal is to play multiplayer, these are more important for me. Also, when will the update that allows helicopters to transport infantry be released, any planned time? Thanks in advance for the response.

The game supports both PBEM++ via the Matrix Games servers and also standard play by email or file share. There are threads here and on discord with players looking for games.

Helo transport is in work right now and we hope to have it out early next year.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

I'll add that I 'leaked' that tournament support is also coming soon (using Matrix's PBEM++ tournament system)
