Can't find ship info

In this battle, in the mopup phase, there are a whole bunch of enemy DDs running around that are going only 5 kn, report heavy damage, but when you send a ship over to kill them, turns out they have plenty of firepower and can take many hits. When I right-click on them to see what they have, I get this error message. Is there something wrong with the same game file so that these are magic ships?

Sounds like the game is treating them as all suffering major engine damage from 1 or 2 hits but very little other damage - which is weird in itself.

The 'Heavy Damage' assessment comes from the crews on your vessels, and is likely based on the enemies speed.

Out of interest, are all those DDs from the same class?

Yes, apparently. I'm thinking the save file is messed up in some way.

By any chance was this save game converted by the later Beta release that changed the save game system?

Unclear. I installed the beta as soon as it was available, so see if the date of the file is late enough?
