New river added which impacts turn 1 (seems like more of a stream/creek?)

Compare and contrast these 2 screenshots:

Can you spot the difference?:

Apparently a new river was added. It seems to be the Mukhavets. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mukhavets

I only bother to mention this at all because it affects turn 1. There will probably be some players who find that they can't do the same hing they did previously on turn 1 with the Bialystok pocket, wondering why.

The OB 2.0 changelog does mention that there were some map changes, but doesn't mention anything specific and doesn't mention anything I can see about rivers.

Now, further south (for example where the wikipedia picture is from), this is clearly a real river.

However, the part up in Pruzhany? It seems more like a stream or a creek at best, at least today. Here is a satellite photo of it running through Pruzhany:

Zoomed further out (the red area is where the previous picture is zoomed in on, and the highlighted bit is the name of the river, it is basically a small stream/creek separating fields):

And here is another view of it in the middle of Pruzhany, I pick out this particular one only because it shows the river name and you can see its size in comparison to a Belarussian house:

Was this river wider and more of an actual river in 1941? It could be possible. Is there any particular evidence of that?

Compare that "river" in Pruzhany to the actual river running through Kobrin, and there is a clear difference, at least today:

Anyway, players on turn 1 should be aware that it adds an extra 2 new MP cost for every unit going north on the historical path from Brest.

A 50 MP panzer division has ~7.14 MP per day, so the 2 extra MP mean it takes the Panzer divisions an extra quarter of a day to make their way across the river/stream/creek.

I guess that is all the more reason to send Panzer divisions south and do an ahistorical Rovno Pocket opening.

This is where the little branch of the river/stream/creek/puddle breaks off in Kobrin:

It's finally time to claim -1 River crossing MPs for units with Bridging Equipment in their TOEs. 8-)

An actual map of the time. At best I could remove the minor river section in the NE part of Pruzhany. The other option would be to replace the minor river with swamps and this will for sure cost more MP

My eyes weren't what spotted it, it was the "hey, you can't move there any more" that spotted it.

There would be no point in getting rid of the river to the NE of Pruzhany if you did not also get rid of the river E of Pruzhany, because the lowest MP cost movement path goes that way.

For me at least, I think it doesn't mess up my opening now that I am actually aware it is there, but what it does do is reduce the margin of safety. There are not the same spare MP to deal with anything that might go wrong (some unexpected retreat rather than rout or something).

The main effect is it may mess up some new players and possibly the AI, as there are not that many MP to spare getting to Minsk from the south (there are a lot more spare MP with Panzer Group 3). In particular, if you get a combat delay in Brest and throw in something else going wrong somewhere down the line, that could mess things up for newer players.
