Can I ask why a discord link is required? I used to use Discord for other stuff and stopped because it was a swamp. So I figured maybe it changed, gave my link, went back to discord to check it out. The CMO portion is not heavily used, seems to not be very helpful to people, and it seems to be a little out of control in what people are posting.

I have to concur with the above. As a rule I don't join social media and limit what I join as much as possible. I have serious concerns about privacy and other issues.

Recently Modzilla has released a petition regarding Microsoft. Their lawyers read the user agreement from Microsoft and could not make any sense of it. There is concern that many of the services Microsoft provides is using and collecting your data without informing users in a clear and concise manner for purposes like training AI and other purposes that you're not aware of.
