Operation Prosperity Guardian, Red Sea 2023 [v1.4 Beta Test]
This scenario is inspired by the recent situation in the Red Sea.
The Western coalition is preparing a punitive strike against the Houthis. The Houthis seems to have sensed a threat and decided to make a play.
I sincerely look forward to your feedback to help me improve it.

You should add the Iranian spy ship (MV Behshad). If you want you can also adjust the position of the ships according to this map. For example HMS Lancaster and USS Laboon .

Thank you for your advice. And how can I know the specific locations of those ships? You should add the Iranian spy ship (MV Behshad). If you want you can also adjust the position of the ships according to this map. For example HMS Lancaster and USS Laboon .
Re: Operation Prosperity Guardian, Red Sea 2023 [v1.2 Beta Test]
Looks cool! This is just a list of suggestions. I think your scenarios are great regardless.
Add Djibouti Airbase with US/French assets. Particular Reapers, some strike aircraft and things like that.
Add embarked drones. Things like Scaneagle etc. are likely operating off one or more ships.
MH-60S on carrier are 2005 version. Newer version has ASuw weapons etc.
Would be awesome if you could update some embarked helo's that are kind of ready to react to small boat attacks (strike loadouts).
Sea state could be higher
RIBS that far out to sea without a mothership is very risky.
Island in the middle has a UAE base.
Sudan and Eritrea are known IRGC hangouts.
Thanks!
Mike

Don't call it a comeback...
Re: Operation Prosperity Guardian, Red Sea 2023 [v1.2 Beta Test]
Not likely at this point. Would have been on AIS up until things got hot. Now you can assume anything military on there may be a bit of AIS spoofing.Sanyr1310 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2023 3:01 pmThank you for your advice. In addition to the RIHBs there's a generic Booghammer type boat with a couple different weapons loadouts that you might consider for the Houthi's. They'd likely fire RPGs at commercial vessels, attempt boardings and the like. Maybe a couple ASuW patrols with a few of those sprinkled in to cause general mayhem?

Great idea: what are the victory conditions for the sides?
Thanks.
Thanks.

V 1.3 upgrade
- Upgraded the fire power of Houthis RHIB (they will attack at GMT 19:30, just the time you get attack order)
- Added suicide USVs to Houthis ((they will attack at GMT 19:30, just the time you get attack order)
- Added Iranian spy/logistic ship MV Behshad
- Added UCAV assets for Western Coalition in Djibouti
- Added 12 scaneagles on USS Laboon
- Adjusted sea state to level 3
I have received all the above comments and thank you for your help. In fact, when I create my scenario, I always try to control the scale while achieving my goals. In fact, I don't think the more elements you want, the better, because you might end up with a bunch of redundant, unnecessary elements. I think the present fire powers is sufficient and to some extent excessive.

The Behshad appears in OSINT sources.Sanyr1310 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2023 3:01 pmThank you for your advice. Guys, I've brought a new OPG-based mini-scenario. In this scenario, you will play as the Indian Navy and carry out strikes against the ground facilities of the Houthis.
Watch out! The enemy's ASBM will bring you deadly danger, please remove this threat in time.

Re: Operation Prosperity Guardian, Red Sea 2023 [v1.4 Beta Test]
I've started-but not-finished v1.3. Here are a few thoughts already:
1) Consider making the commercial shipping side neutral to the player. It would be easier to pick out the player's ships, plus, it's doubtful that the commercial shipping would be able to give "precise" contact reports anyway.
2) I know that the commercial shipping exists to create generic targets to protect, but consider setting their mission speed to cruise instead of creep. It's a more realistic transit speed, and it makes them a little less vulnerable drones. Tooling around at 5 knots is asking for trouble; make it seem like they have somewhere to be.
3) Consider creating some neutral civilian coastal traffic, such as fishing boats in the like. Some stationary or very slow. That will give the Houthi attack boats some clutter to hide in. The scenario suffers a little bit from 'only the important military assets are modeled', so when you see groups of small boats grouped together on radar at the start of the scenario, the player can easily guess what they are and what is going to happen.

I downloaded Version 1.4 however, when I extract it, it has Version 1.3 in it.
