Flamethrower team issue

The 2-man "para flamethrower" team (class 55) isn't using the flamethrower as a "crewed weapon", although it is set that way in the data.

When the 2-man team engages the enemy (within flamethrower range), the flamethrower is used as expected, if one team member dies, the flamethrower should be picked up by the second team member and used against the enemy (if the enemy is in range of the flamethrower).

This doesn't happen, if either one of the team members dies, the other one uses the Sten Mk 5 (of the second team member) instead of the flamethrower against enemy within flamethrower range.

I've played around with soldier type to correct this, but whatever i try the result is the same behaviour as described above. (-1 = Empty Slot, 0 = Basic Soldier, 1 = Leader, 2 = Tank, Gun or Mortar Crew, 3 = Asst Leade, 4 = Commander, 5 = Tank Leader ):
Stock data "soldier0" set as 2 "soldier1" set as 3
Both teammembers set at "2" -> same result
Both teammembers set at "0" -> same result
"soldier0" set as 3 "soldier1" set as 0 -> same result

Which data parameters could be adjusted, so the crew uses the flamethrower as intended?

Another thing i've noticed is the flamethrower sometimes displays "weapon lost", what triggers this "weapon lost" status?

Hi Aetius2,

When a soldier with a flamethrower is hit the flamethrower is destroyed. So even if another team member picks up the flamethrower is not functional. I suspect that is why you're seeing 'Weapon Lost' as a status, meaning the weapon has malfuncitoned or is broken beyond repair.

This isn't something you can modify via the data files.

Hi Steve,

The problem occurs when the soldier with flamethrower dies, the other teammember picks up the flamethrower but wont use it, the player thinks he has a flamethrower, engages the enemy and the weapon is switched back to the sten, see screenshots in attach.

The "weapon lost" status is only temporary; after a while, it functions normally again, almost as if the graphic used is the wrong one, and it should be "repairing" or "unjamming".

Did some more tests:
Situation1

soldier0 FT(crewed weapon)
soldier1 MP(secondary weapon)

soldier 0 dies, soldier1 seems to pick up FT (icon displayed), but uses MP when fire order is given after short burst stops firing his MP and states "four shot salvo completed"

soldier 1 dies, soldier 0 keeps FT but for some reason won't use it stating "we can't hurt that" while within range, "effective bar" displayes no lethality while having enough ammo

Situation2

soldier0 MP(secondary weapon)
soldier1 FT(crewed weapon)

soldier 0 dies, soldier 1 carries on with FT and can use it, sometimes "weapon lost" is displayed and FT is unusable from then on, "weapon lost" probably means "weapon defective"

soldier 1 dies, soldier 0 seems to pick up FT (icon displayed), but uses MP when fire order is given "effective bar" displayes effectiveness of the MP while FT icon is displayed
