What needs to happen is the same lesson that Russia is today learning, which is, having a lot of ships doesn't equal having a blue-water navy.

And to cross the straits and invade Taiwan, the gang in Beijing will DEFINITELY need a blue-water navy and not some collection of warships named after their revolutionary ARMY.
