[FIXED] Aircrafts going offensive against SAMs

Post by Swant »

Every flight on the map is trying to intercept SAMs

It is every flight on a patrol so it is likely connected to the patrolbug previously reported

No, they are trying to attack ASuW targets (see status in right panel) since their mission is ASuW patrol and the Investigate Unkown Contacts outisde the patrol area is checked.

No, every aircraft on the map assigned to a aaw patrol is moving to intercept sams. I have three aaw patrols, no box is ticked in any mission still they are all moving to intercept. If you look at the target in to the right is the info panel it says SAM

Ok, I see, sorry for the confusion but the image leads me to check that flights.

Yeah, I've encountered this in multiple scenarios with the new update. It also happens for AAW patrol aircraft—they'll decide to "attack" an AAM while 800nm away.

This bug renders patrol missions in large scenarios more or less useless; I've decided to just use support missions with micromanagement for everything now.

This is crushing my scenarios as well. Leading aircraft to divert away from mission area and engage guided missiles from across the map. Not able to utilize parameters to prevent.

EDIT:
Things I tried to get it to stop doing this:
1. Removed all sensors & comms
2. Adjusted WRA to not engage guided weapons
3. Removing exclusion zones

None worked.

Honestly there should be a hotfix release for this. This bug is a significant compromise of playability.
