Any sound mods available ?

Post by Skylar27 »

I've done a weak ass search but came up nil, does anyone know of any sound mods as sittin' and watching things happen with no sounds gets a little boring :|

And yes I do have sounds turned up and I get the aircraft launching and explosions and such ;)

Thanks ~

A guy from another forum shared this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4oPYJIHCuo&t=356s with me and this is what I would like to hear while playing, is it possible for this to be made into a sound file for in game use and if so how ... I'm ignorant and don't have a clue about such things :?

Thanks again ~

Download the video by some way, convert to sound file (MP3/wav), then place to Command - Modern Operations\Sound\Music folder. Sound will be played as game BGM.

Using Lua fuction ScenEdit_PlaySound() is also doable (you can hear ambient with BGM) but you need to play the game in editor mode (to run Lua script console) or make "play ambient sound regulary" event for every scenario.

Or, you can try this one (I have not tried under CMO though):
[RELEASED] Speech and Ambient Sound Module - Updated CMANO 1.12 936.11
"How Do You Stay Calm With A 7,000 Ton Nuclear Predator Listening For Your Heartbeat?"

Here is a link of the audio extracted from Oberon's Navy Command and Control room Ambience video, in .mp3 format.

Thanks a ton gents

I placed the file into the sound folder but it doesn't play

Is there something I need to do extra to make it work in game OR do I just play the file from my desktop and then launch the game ?

I made a backup of the 5 files in the music folder in another folder.

Then renamed the ambient file as Title.mp3 and copied it in the music folder, it is the only file there.

The game will play it from the start, so is hardcoded to play whatever file named Title.mp3

If you want to keep the original Title.mp3, you may rename the ambient file as Track01.mp3

And another possibility is to add it to the original playlist, keep the 5 files in the music folder and rename the ambient file as Track05.mp3, It will be randomly played with the rest.

New link of the audio extracted from Oberon's Navy Command and Control room Ambience video, in .mp3 format.

Named Track05.mp3, CMO will play it as part of the tracks list, just copy it in this folder:
\Command Modern Operations\Sound\Music
