GENERAL MUSINGS:

Things in Burma went better than expected, considering strength of enemy. I'll clear Indochina next, to establish air dominance on South China Sea and to open supply route to China.

USN now has 5 CVs (plus 2 CVLs and 3 CVEs) in Pearl Harbor. 2 of those are Essex-class carriers. While I lose CV Victorious in October, she has proven to be valuable ship having good armour and even higher AAA value than USN CVs. Only downside is only 54 plane capacity. But until August, we should have few good invasions comeing in CENTPAC area.

Sub war is going on, though USS Hoe has abysmal luck, she usually gets to patrol zone, gets hammered immediately and spends another week or more in repairs. I have policy that any sub with combined SYS, ENG, FLT damage equal or more than 10 is sent back to repairs.

China is everyone's "tar baby", but we should see some action there after Indochina is cleared. Also Singapore is tempting target, but since this is Da Iron Babes, it might be very tough nut to crack. Same with Hongkong.

Solomons and PNG was bit quiet for several reasons, but things are speeding up bit there too. Note that Sydney has only size 30 shipyard, thus I won't use Lexington or Saratoga there, since closest they fit is in Pearl Harbor.

Sardaukar: Morning Air attack on TF, near Maloelap at 136,117 (CV raid to Marianas didn't meet any resistance, encouraging)
To avoid any confusion, I will point out that Maloelap is in the Marshalls. But I know you meant that - I sometimes do the same substitution!
Sardaukar: xAP Kobayashi Maru, Bomb hits 3, on fire (How many know from which movie name Kobayashi Maru is known for? Hint: Kaiser Soze))
Ah, but before The Usual Suspects there was the Star Trek Kobayashi Maru test ...
Sardaukar: Beaufighter VIf x 6 (FFS, shoot something down, you doofuses have airborne radar!)
Do you even have ground radar there to vector them to the target? Also, I think I read somewhere that NF pilots have to get quite high in Experience and Air Skill to achieve kills. Until then, they are spoilers, making the enemy miss the target or abandon their attack.
Sardaukar:SS Hoe, hits 2 (this sub is absolutely hopeless, every patrol it goes, it gets hammered for long repairs..)
What do you expect from a Ho? They're usually high on something! ... Oh, wait a minute - what's that 'e' on the name? ;)

And congratulations on destroying Guards Tank Regiment and taking Tulagi!
No matter how bad a situation is, you can always make it worse. - Chris Hadfield : An Astronaut's Guide To Life On Earth

Yea, forgot the Star Trek Kobayashi Maru. :D And yes, Marshalls, not Marianas...not quite that far yet (actually I think all my games ended before getting to invade Marianas.

There are 10 base units in Rangoon, all have radars, either US CPS-1 or Brit GL I.

Beaus got a kill recently, now unit has massive 9 kills in it's career. :D
