Strait of Messina hex flipping side

Hello again

in my current match vs OCB in the 1943 scenario he took Sicily and Southern Italy.
As can be seen in my video linked below at 7:53 bottom right corner, his British corps is cut off because the Strait of Messina flipped back to Axis control.
I think this is a bug. I had no unit there neither land or sea.

Hmmm. It is rather odd. But I suppose your British unit can enter the Strait of Messina hex, despite it “flipping over” to Italian control?

As an afterthought, maybe it’s some sort of sneaky (pro-Axis) partisan activity?

Actually Italy surrendered. This oddity about control of that Land/Sea hex just popped up right after Germany 'took control' of Italy. The Allies have controlled it for several turns..but I moved a unit that was on the Strait hex back to Palermo.
I could certainly of moved a unit to clear it. I just noticed it in my vid too. I'll have to see the next one to see how I dealt with it...I forgot about this as there was a lot going on.
