With new patch can you order combined arm line attack

On the patch can you order a line or arrowhead attack for combined arms attack and the tanks, AT and AA guns will stop when enemy fire is first spotted or should we still use the double line formation.

In the patch you can still only do coordinated complex attacks ( ie those with more than one HQ and where you specify the FUP ) in line or successive lines. However, for Basic attacks ( ie with only one HQ ) you can order the troops to attack in any of the formations. In all cases, armour and long range line support units, such as AT, Flak and MG will drop off in the attack once they are within effective range and have sight of the enemy at the objective.

If you simply order a force of more than one HQ to attack an objective with no FUP specified then it will decide either to launch a coordinated attack itself or it will launch a series of uncordinated basic attacks. Eg. A Bde will launch two or more Bn level attacks. The Bn objectives will be spread out around the Bde objective and they will each choose their own FUP and approach route and attack in whatever formation they think appropriate.

I have some good news and some bad news. First the good news. Aslo .
