Interested in buying - but is MP dead?

I am interested to buy this game as it is one of few WeGo-games that seems good. But is the MP dead or are people still playing MP? Where to find a opponent then, because on this forum no one seems to respond to MP-challanges. I do not play vs AI as AI always sucks.

It has a built in PBEM+ facility for people to match make and play online so no need to request matches on forums etc. which may be why you are seeing a lack of response though to be honest I would ignore a challenge from someone that doesn't own the game yet too!

The AI, with the scenario designer's battle plans, is plenty capable.
