How to know population in hex

Section 5.5.5.2 of the Rulebook (Free Water Income) says that "For all sources the free Water income of a Hex is decreased if less than
50K Population present in Hex or less than 10K Worker." How can I know what the population is in a given hex? I can only see it for a whole zone.

This probably should be read as "For all sources the free Water income of a Hex is decreased if less than 50K Population present in Hex' Zone or less than 10K Worker."
