actual NM values of NM objectives

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

actual NM values of NM objectives

Post by Duedman »

Hello again,

is there a list somewhere of the actual values of NM targets? Like in ACW? Or would it be possible to extract and post them here?
In my recent 1943 match I captured an NM target and it seemed like nothing happened to Soviet NM.

I'd really like to know for further shenanigans :D

Yeah [REDACTED] to be exact. I thought the NM loss of this city was supposed to be pretty significant...at least in the 1939 Grand Campaign. It is in WaW. I wonder if the NM parameters locations are different in the 1943 scenario?

Who says your going to keep [REDACTED] ?....😁😁😁...

I have noticed that both Dnieperpetropsk and Volkhov keep their NM status after capture in the 1939 campaign games for both WaW and WiE. The same is with Verdun in SC-WW1.

Anyways I thought that the loss of NM was supposed to be significant for certain selected cities more so than some other ones. I looked and didn't see any drop when [REDACTED] was lost, either.

For Dnepropetrovsk, please see the section on The Importance of Food Supplies to Germany in the Strategy Guide.

For Volkhov, please see DE 415 in the Strategy Guide.

In WWI, Germany receives a bonus if it captures Verdun, and France a penalty. However, it remains an NM objective because a subsequent liberation will provide France with a boost.

For Volkhov, please see DE 415 in the Strategy Guide.
In the 1943 scenario, after landings in Italy and France, the Russians are above 75% NM and the Germans below. This has quite some impact on combat results so you start thinking about shenanigans like sneaking into NM objectives like Kursk, Stalingrad or Volkhov or Manchester  .

That's why more info would be great. I could just hotseat it of course. But maybe something exists :P

Also, if as in DE 415 Volkhov only has an extra NM impact while Leningrad is still in Soviet hands it should maybe loose the red "NM Target" after Leningrad fell.

Code: Select all

{
#NAME= USSR - The Loss Of Volkhov Means That Leningrad Cannot Be Supplied Via Lake Ladoga During The Winter
#POPUP= <<TAG_3>>
#IMAGE=
#SOUND=
#FLAG= 1
#TYPE= 1
#AI= 0
#LEVEL= 0
; Set global variable condition to always trigger (dummy value)
#GV= 1[1,100]
; Set link value to always trigger (dummy value)
#LINK= 0[0]
#COUNTRY_ID= 116
#TRIGGER= 100
; Set how many NM points should be gained or lost over X turns
#NM_UPDOWN= -1000
#NM_TURNS= 1
#DATE= 1939/09/01
#OBJECTIVE_TEXT_POSITION= 210,52
; Set alignment position and controller's political alignment:
; Leningrad is in Allied hands
#ALIGNMENT_POSITION= 206,52 [2]
; Volkhov is in Axis hands
#ALIGNMENT_POSITION= 210,52 [1]
; Set variable conditions:
; 1st Line - USSR politically aligned with the Allies and not surrendered
#VARIABLE_CONDITION= 116 [2] [100] [0]
; Dummy condition position (always satisfied)
#CONDITION_POSITION= 0,0 [0,0] [0,0] [0] [0]
}
This is the only reference I could find to Volkhov in the national_morale file. There is no #LINK reference in it, so it is not affected by DE 415. [Edit] In fact, there is no DE 415 in the 1943 campaign - there is in 1939.

So, USSR loses 1000 NM once if Leningrad is still held by them and Volkhov is controlled by Axis.

Thanks, I've made a note to investigate this and almost certainly change the settings/guide for the next patch.
