To send or not to send air units to reserve for rest

Post by Nirosi »

Hi all,

I read here that if one sends an air unit un reserve with, for example, 20 pilots all at 60% experience, when it comes back to map it will have 20 pilots with an average of 60%, meaning some pilots at 80%, some at 40% maybe.

Would it be a safer approach then in general to instead leave air units on the map (in rest mode) when one wants them to recover from fatigue and low morale?

Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

I'm curious of this as well. The air wings I've moved to reserves seem to get offly high operations losses. I put them all on rest mode too.

Only if most of the pilots have a very awful skill rating (below national morale), in which case you want to get rid of them by sending them into the reserve and generating a new batch once the air group's stats improve. This is mostly a mechanic for the Soviets.
