Difference Between This and Bulge

VR designs has been reinforced with designer Cameron Harris and the result is a revolutionary new operational war game 'Barbarossa' that plays like none other. It blends an advanced counter pushing engine with deep narrative, people management and in-depth semi-randomized decision systems.

Difference Between This and Bulge

Post by canuckgamer »

Since Decisive Campaigns Battle of the Bulge came out after Barbarossa so does it have some additional or improvements and or additions to the game system? The graphics certainly look better. I am more interested in Barbarossa given that it covers the entire eastern front from 1941-42 as opposed to Bulge which is one battle although I would have liked 41-45.
I would be interested in comments about the differences between the games and which one is preferred and why?
Thanks.

Hi there, both titles are nice, Barbarossa is more strategic, with a huge map, hex at 30 miles I think, week or so turns, lots of planning, logistics, decisions, and command level is at divisional size, Bulge is more tactical, smaller units… hex maybe 1km ?, short time period turns..I haven’t played a lot of Bulge (lack of free time) despite being newer and more polished up, however I spent long time with Barbarossa, actually plan to play it again some day… Grab Barbarossa for sure…you’ll not regret. I never managed to beat Russians in Barbarossa, played maybe half dozen of campaigns to the bitter end ….
